A few years ago, I was in Austin, Texas for work and happened upon the Deep Eddy distillery. We tasted all of the vodkas they make, and the grapefruit was my favorite by far. I am obsessed with creating new drinks to use the vodka in, as I always have a bottle on hand (my mom usually has a handle on hand!). The vodka used to be harder to find, but it’s carried in most major grocery stores nowadays. I love the tanginess of grapefruit against the champagne and the bitters round out the drink. Adding a long strip of the zest over the rim of the glass ensures you get a whiff of grapefruit with every sip.
