I’m almost embarrassed to share this recipe. Not because it’s not insanely delicious, but because it’s barely a recipe and it uses-SHHHH!-Velveeta. It’s one of those party dips that is sure to be gone within minutes! This recipe came about because I needed a cheesy dip and I had Velveeta, canned tomatoes, cream cheese and Italian sausage on hand. I remember having scrolled past a 3-ingredient cheesy sausage dip recipe on Pinterest and knew I could recreate something like it. Me being me, I had to add a few more ingredients, so now we come to this 5-ingredient dip. It’s as simple as cooking some hot or sweet Italian sausage until cooked through and crisp, melting Velveeta and cream cheese into the meat, and folding in some canned tomatoes with chiles. You don’t even have to put it in the oven! It comes together completely on the stovetop. I chopped up some green onions for a punch and some freshness-something I feel is always necessary when using something as salty and processed as Velveeta. In just under 20 minutes, you can have this addictive dip, perfect for parties of 10-or one!
