Hey guys, just here sharing a cherished family recipe…no big deal. Every family needs a good cheese ball recipe and here’s mine!My mom says this recipe came from one of my aunts, but beyond that she doesn’t know where it came from. I do know it’s made an appearance at many a party, usually with me standing guard (aka eating half of it). It’s creamy, sharp and full of one of my favorite things in the food universe, green onions. I don’t usually cook with, or share a lot of recipes here with processed foods (like cheese in a jar), but this is one exception I will make. The recipe calls for three kinds of Kraft jarred cheeses: Pimento, Old English and Roka Blue. You can usually find them in your local grocery store, but if they’re tricky to find, you can always order them online too! Roka Blue is sometimes harder to find, but the last few times I’ve checked, it’s been in the stores. I try to stock up with a few jars whenever I happen upon the aisle they’re in for whenever the cheese ball mood strikes me. I highly recommend, if not insist, that you serve this with plenty of Ritz crackers…but beyond that, the dippers are up to you! You can totally form it into a ball, but I’m lazy and a half-sphere does the job just fine. Sometimes, it doesn’t even make it beyond the bowl it’s made in!
I hope you enjoy!
