On Sundays We Brunch is a weekly collection of thoughts, favorites and links. Follow along to discover new things and remember old ones!
Welcome to the inaugural edition of On Sundays We Brunch! I’m hoping this will be a time for us to talk about life like we’re really sitting together over brunch and share favorites…articles, recipes, products, books, inspiration, whatever it may be!
Brunch is my favorite because the spirit is light, you have the whole day ahead of you afterwards, and all food is fair game and it often involves champagne. Urban Dictionary defines brunchin’ as “Midday lunchin’ acting a fool in the mid-morning to lunch time”. Could there be a more fitting description?
Grab a mimosa, pull up a chair and let’s chat! Oh, and if anyone wants to act a fool, I’m game.
I wake up to this sign right in front of me every day. It has so many words I try to live by. Last year, when I left my job of 11 years to work on my blog, it was one of the scariest decisions I ever made, but it was also exhilarating to know I was following my dream to build my blog and COOK! Over the last year, I’ve learned so much about photography, writing, cooking, blogging, and business. I’ve also learned a lot about myself, but I’m not quite ready to share that yet!
I am going back to a full-time job doing something I’m positive I will love. This site is staying put and I will continue to create awesome content for you all! I’m nervous, excited and ready to learn more. I think this will be a great opportunity for me to develop more personally, especially in the areas time management and efficiency. I’ll be working on my blog at night and on weekends so it will definitely require some mad multi-tasking skills and a great amount of focus. Wish me luck!!
Speaking of learning and personal/professional development, do you guys know about Creative Live? I’m obsessed with this site and 99% of their classes. There are so many awesome ones covering a range of topics and they have sales all the time! I’ve taken a bunch of classes and purchased an all-access pass to finish out the year and take a few more. You can see all the lessons contained in the courses so you know just what you’re getting. Classes are rated and reviewed by past students so you can see relevant feedback and ensure the class is right for you. If you’re looking to learn more about a specific topic or learn something completely new, I highly recommend this site!

A REMINDER FROM OLIVER, BIRDIE AND I:
You are enough.
“Don’t make yourself small.
Not for anyone.
If someone tells you
you’re too much…
too loud, too sensitive,
too fierce, too caring,
too intellectual, too optimistic,
too realistic, too logical, too emotional…
just smile and move on, my friend.
Clearly, they aren’t enough for you.”

Have a wonderful week, friends!!
